Are you an ‘over-giver’ or an ‘under-giver’?
It’s very likely you are both!
Do you over-give to others and under-give to yourself? If you do, you are probably empty, depleted and burned out. Not a great state to be in.
So, ask yourself the following questions:
• What is it I’m feeling right now
• What do I need more of
• What do I need less of
• What do I really want
• Who or what is in the way.
Take a close look at your answers. What are the real reasons you choose to give your time away?
Remember, you alone are responsible for allocating your time. If you give it to others, it’s because you choose to do so.
• What are your answers telling you
• In what areas of your life do you feel deprived
• How are you compensating
• What do you need to stop doing
• What do you need to start doing
Commit to going through this question/answer process whenever you feel depleted. See what comes up for you.
Then make choices and take action to give back to yourself.
